We came to Anaplan from data platform work. The first thing we open in a model is the import list, to see which files still arrive by hand and which totals never quite tie to the ERP.
We do not resell Anaplan.
Planners spend the first week of each cycle chasing data. Actuals come in as spreadsheet exports, and the cost center list in Anaplan has drifted from the one in the ERP. By the time the numbers tie, half the planning window is gone.
We automate the loads first. Actuals come from Snowflake or Databricks through CloudWorks or the Anaplan APIs, with a reconciliation check planners can see inside the model. Hierarchies come from master data. Once the data is steady, we rebuild the slow modules and write approved plans back to the warehouse.

Model design and build
Finance, sales, workforce, and supply chain models, built to Anaplan's published modeling practices so they calculate quickly and stay easy to change.

Data integration
Scheduled loads from Snowflake, Databricks, ERP, and CRM through CloudWorks, Anaplan Connect, and the APIs. Each load checks that its totals tie out.

Hierarchies from master data
Account, product, cost center, and territory lists taken from mastered data. A new cost center in the ERP appears in the plan on the next load.

Plans back to the warehouse
Approved plans, targets, and scenarios written to Snowflake or Databricks, where reports can set plan beside actual.

Forecasting
Statistical and machine learning forecasts trained on clean history and backtested against actuals. Planners see them in Anaplan next to their own numbers.

A close look at a model's size, calculation time, and formula complexity, with fixes ranked by the time they save.
