This policy explains how Datagist LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on datagist.ai, what they do, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They let the site remember things between pages and visits, such as a preference you set or whether you have already passed a security check. Similar technologies include local storage, which keeps small amounts of data in your browser, and pixels or scripts that send information to a third party. We use the word "cookies" in this policy to cover all of these.
Cookies set by us are "first-party" cookies. Cookies set by another company through our site, such as an analytics provider, are "third-party" cookies. Cookies that expire when you close your browser are "session" cookies; those that stay for a set period are "persistent" cookies.
How we use cookies
We use cookies for three things: to make the site work and keep it secure, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it, and to recognize returning visitors so that, if you contact us, we can connect your inquiry to your earlier visits. We do not use cookies to serve advertising, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.
Cookie categories
Cookies on this site fall into three categories. You can turn the second and third on or off at any time.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off in our tools. They are set in response to actions you take, such as saving your cookie preferences, passing Cloudflare's bot check, or submitting the contact form. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site will stop working.
Analytics cookies
These let us count visits and traffic sources and see which pages are most and least popular, so we can measure and improve how the site performs. We use Google Analytics 4 for this, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement) so we can see where the site is confusing and produce heatmaps. Clarity hides text you type into forms. None of this is used for advertising. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited the site.
Marketing cookies
These are set by HubSpot, the system we use to manage relationships with people who inquire about our services. They recognize you as a returning visitor and, if you contact us, link your visits to your contact record so that we can follow up with context. We do not use them to show you advertising on other sites. If you do not allow these cookies, your visits are not tracked and your inquiry is not linked to your browsing.

We also load Google Tag Manager, which coordinates the tags above and sets no cookies of its own, and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page performance without cookies or persistent identifiers. Cloudflare Turnstile, used on the contact form to tell people from bots, examines browser signals for that purpose and does not track you across sites.
How consent works on this site
On your first visit we show a banner. Nothing other than strictly necessary cookies is set until you make a choice. "Accept All Cookies" turns on analytics and marketing cookies. "Reject All" keeps both off. "Cookies Settings" opens the Privacy Preference Center, where you can turn each category on or off individually and see the cookies in each. Your choice is stored in the dg_consent cookie for six months, after which we ask again.
Technically, we use Google Consent Mode. Google and HubSpot tags on this site start in a "denied" state and are only allowed to set cookies or send identifiable data once you consent, and Microsoft Clarity is not loaded at all until you allow analytics cookies. If you later withdraw consent, we tell those tags to stop and delete their cookies from your browser. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which some browsers and extensions send to say "do not sell or share my data". When your browser sends it, marketing cookies stay off regardless of other choices, the banner and Preference Center tell you so, and we publish our support at /.well-known/gpc.json.
Managing cookies
You can change your choice at any time using the link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser. The instructions differ by browser: see the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working, including the contact form.
To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, Google offers a browser add-on.
Third-party cookies
The analytics and marketing cookies above are set by Google, Microsoft, and HubSpot on our behalf, and those companies may also receive information such as your IP address and browser details. Their own policies describe how they handle it: Google's cookie policy and HubSpot's cookie policy, and the Microsoft Privacy Statement for Clarity. Cloudflare's use of cookies is described in its cookie documentation.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we add a new category of cookies, we will ask for your consent again.
